Introduction to China RoHS Certification
The "National RoHS Certification" and "China RoHS Certification" refer to voluntary certification for pollution control of electronic information products.
On February 28, 2006, the "Management Measures for Pollution Control of Electronic Information Products" (hereinafter referred to as the "Management Measures") were officially promulgated and came into effect on March 1, 2007. The Management Measures have determined that the control of six toxic and harmful substances, including lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), etc., contained in electronic information products will be carried out through catalog management, gradually promoting the prohibition or restriction of their use. In order to effectively carry out and implement the relevant work in the "Management Measures", the "Implementation Opinions on the National Unified Promotion of Voluntary Certification for Pollution Control of Electronic Information Products" and the "Implementation Rules for the National Unified Promotion of Voluntary Certification for Pollution Control of Electronic Information Products" have been successively released, and the "Implementation Rules" have made clear provisions on certification standards, technical specifications, etc.
What are the benefits of obtaining China RoHS certification for enterprises
The Implementation Opinions on the Voluntary Certification of Pollution Control for Electronic Information Products Unified by the State clearly state that the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shall take measures to encourage and support producers, sellers, and importers of electronic information products to apply for national pollution control certification for their electronic information products produced, sold, and imported. This includes exemptions and reductions in the collection of waste electrical and electronic product disposal funds for products that meet national pollution control voluntary certification and related certified enterprises, priority inclusion in government procurement plans, promotion of international mutual recognition, and mandatory certification for the adoption of national RoHS certification results.
The first batch of national RoHS certification testing laboratories
On July 4, 2012, the China National Certification and Accreditation Administration issued a notice on the release of laboratory confirmation results for the voluntary certification of electronic information product pollution control implemented by the state (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice"), which announced the first batch of laboratories approved to engage in the voluntary certification of electronic information product pollution control implemented by the state (hereinafter referred to as the "National Voluntary Certification of Pollution Control").
As an authoritative third-party organization with rich technical accumulation in the testing and evaluation fields of electronic information products such as "security", "performance", "energy efficiency", "EMC", "environmental adaptability", etc., this authorization marks CVC's qualification for RoHS testing in China on the basis of providing EU toxic and harmful substances (RoHS) services, which can provide more comprehensive services for electronic information product enterprises and assist them in smoothly selling products to target markets.
