1、 What is WIFI authentication?

Wi Fi CERTIFIED is an internationally recognized product certification standard, indicating that the product meets industry recognized standards in terms of interoperability, security, and a range of application specific protocols. Wi Fi CERTIFIED products have undergone rigorous testing in one of our independent authorized testing laboratories. When a product successfully passes testing, the manufacturer or distributor is authorized to use the Wi Fi CERTIFIED logo. Certification refers to the testing of a product with various configurations of other devices, and the devices used for testing need to be extracted in different ways to confirm interoperability between the product and other Wi Fi CERTIFIED devices operating on the same frequency band.

A wide range of consumer, enterprise, and operator specific products, including smartphones, home appliances, computers and peripherals, network infrastructure, and consumer electronics products, can be certified. On the retail end, the Wi Fi CERTIFIED logo can give consumers confidence in the product, ensuring that it can provide a good user experience and comply with industry standards. Service providers and enterprise IT managers specify that products must have Wi Fi Certified to reduce support costs and ensure that the products meet industry recognized requirements. Only by becoming a member company of the Wi Fi Alliance can product certification testing be conducted and the Wi Fi CERTIFIED logo and related trademarks be used.

2、 How to join as a member?

Joining the Wi Fi Alliance is a key strategic element in providing Wi Fi solutions and services. In our industry-leading collaboration forum, multiple future oriented Wi Fi and WiGig technologies are significantly developing. Our world-class certification program verifies the best user experience and has the authority to stamp approval seals that are sought after worldwide. Since March 2000, Wi Fi Alliance member companies have developed and launched over 15 certification programs.

So far, our more than 600 member companies have certified over 15000 products through our 18 authorized testing laboratories located around the world, and this number is increasing day by day. Becoming a member of our alliance and participating in our interoperability program and market development work means that you and your customers will have the best experience using Wi Fi products and services.

Join as a member today and let's work together to promote the future development of wireless. After your application is accepted by our board of directors, Wi Fi Alliance staff will generally send you relevant notifications and invoices via email within ten working days. Your membership will be activated after Wi Fi Alliance receives full payment. For existing members, we will collect annual membership fees for the next calendar year, and all payable amounts must be paid before December 31st.

1. Official membership qualification

Regular members can help develop our certification program and related support technologies, certify products, and have the right to obtain a range of other benefits. The annual membership fee for formal membership is $15000.

2. Affiliated Membership Qualification

Official members and affiliated organizations of sponsored level members are eligible to enjoy a range of membership benefits without paying additional fees. Associate members have the same rights as regular members, including the ability to use their company name to authenticate products, but voting rights are still held by companies that have formal membership or sponsorship level membership in Wi Fi Alliance.

For companies eligible to become affiliate members, formal members or sponsored level member enterprises must directly or indirectly (1) control the affiliate company; (2) Controlled by the subsidiary company; Or (3) jointly under the control of other enterprises with the subsidiary (the same non member enterprise must control both the member enterprise and the subsidiary).

3. Implementer Member

Implementer members can use previously certified Wi Fi products to authenticate their terminal products. Implementer members utilize the Wi Fi CERTIFIED brand to provide users with a simple path, secure interoperability, and proven excellent user experience. The additional benefits also include participation in three annual member meetings, the right to use programming diagrams and verified technical parameters. The annual membership fee for implementers is $5000.

3、 WIFI authentication classification

1. New product certification: Wi Fi certification does not have inheritance.

2. Re certification: The product has already been certified; The product has undergone changes related to Wi Fi.

3. Modification: The product has been certified; The product and Wi Fi related parts remain unchanged.
