IC certification

Home - IC certification

IC stands for Industry Canada, a government agency responsible for certifying electronic and electrical products entering the Canadian market. Its responsible products are roughly divided into: broadcasting and television equipment, information technology equipment, radio equipment, telecommunications equipment, engineering and medical equipment, etc.

Similar to the FCC in the United States, IC currently only imposes restrictions on electromagnetic interference.

Authentication method:

There are two methods that can be used: self verification and Certification certification.

IC ID: CN (Company Number, up to 6 digits)+UPN (Unique Product Number, up to 8 digits).

Notice on ID Application:

1. Canadian representative address information is required.

2. The label should include the following information (manufacturer name or trademark, model name, IC ID number).

Related standards for IC certification:

The standards for IC certification are basically the same as those of FCC, and currently IC only limits electromagnetic interference.

ICES-001 simulation equipment: Industrial, Scientific and Medical Radio Frequency Generators

ICES-003 digital terminal equipment: Interference Computing Equipment Standards Digital Devices, such as ICES003: ITE: products and computer peripheral office equipment.

IC RSS Series transmitting and receiving devices are low-power wireless RF products. For example: RSS 210, applicable products: wireless mouse and keyboard, wireless remote control toys, and various low-power wireless RF products, CS03 (telecommunications terminal product PSTN).
