Sony SS-00259 14th edition released

The SS-00259, a management regulation for environmentally controlled substances in parts and materials, was updated to the 14th edition on July 1, 2015. The 14th edition of SS-00259 will come into effect on August 1, 2015. At that time, parts, materials, and other items included in the Sony Group and products commissioned to be designed and manufactured by Sony Group must meet the relevant requirements of this management regulation .

Major changes in standards

Compared with the 13th edition, the 14th edition of SS-00259 has mainly revised the following:

1. Six new (class) new hazardous substances have been added to the management list, see the table below.
