Complete List of National FCC Certification Application Testing Standards

Source:创始人 Time:2024-08-08 Hits:0次

FCC certification involves over 50 states, Colombia, and territories in the United States. To ensure the safety of wireless and wired communication products related to life and property, the FCC's Office of Engineering and Technology is responsible for providing technical support to the committee and handling equipment certification matters. Many wireless application products, communication products, and digital products require FCC approval to enter the US market. The FCC committee investigates and studies various stages of product safety to find the best way to solve problems, and also includes testing of radio devices, aircraft, and so on.

The United States has been China's second largest trading partner for several consecutive years, and the trade volume between China and the United States has been increasing year by year, so exports to the United States should not be underestimated. The rigorous product technology standards and import regulations in the United States can be regarded as the world's top. Understanding the market access rules in the United States will help Chinese products further open up the American market.

FCC Certification Application Testing Standards

FCC Part 15- Computing equipment, cordless phones, satellite receivers, television interface equipment, receivers, low-power transmitters

FCC Part 18- Industrial, scientific, and medical equipment, such as microwave and radio frequency lighting ballasts (ISM)

FCC Part 22- Cellular Telephone

FCC Part 24- Personal Communication Systems, including Authorized Personal Communication Services

FCC Part 68- Various communication terminal devices, such as telephones, modems, etc

FCC Part 74- Allocation of Experimental Radio Stations, Auxiliary, Special Broadcast Services, and Other Programs

FCC Part 90- Dedicated Land Mobile Radio Services including paging devices and mobile wireless transmitters, including land mobile radio products such as high-power intercoms

Comparison of FCC Part 15 and Part 18 Standards in the United States

FCC Part 15 provides regulations for intentional, unintentional, or instantaneous transmission devices that do not require a personal license for use. It includes technical specifications, administrative requirements, and other market access conditions.

FCC Part 15 targets RF products and is mainly divided into four categories: unintentional transmission devices, intentional transmission devices, unlicensed personal communication devices, and unlicensed national basic information devices. Almost all electrical and electronic devices will contain unintentional emissions. FCC Part 18 Requirements

FCC Part 18 specifies the electromagnetic energy emitted by industrial, scientific, and medical equipment (ISM) operating on a certain frequency spectrum to avoid harmful interference to authorized wireless communication services. For consumer ISM devices, there are two certification modes: Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and Certification.
